On April 10th, Datakorum was represented by Pablo Segura, the company’s Commercial Director, at a conference focused on the digitalization of irrigation. The event, organized by the Sub-Directorate General of Irrigation, Natural Paths, and Rural Infrastructure of the Ministry of Agriculture, took place at the Higher Technical School of Agricultural Engineering and the Natural Environment of the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
The conference, titled “Application of Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Methodologies in the Use of Water for Irrigation,” brought together various experts and professionals from the sector. Segura discussed how Datakorum’s solutions can assist irrigation communities and irrigation infrastructure managers in overcoming common challenges. He addressed issues such as remote water meter reading, monitoring of reservoir levels, and data collection from water quality sensors, soil moisture, conductivity, and temperature.
The capability to remotely control pumps and valves was also highlighted, which enhances the performance of the infrastructures. This technology enables informed and timely decisions based on data obtained in real-time, facilitating the optimization of energy use and reducing both unnecessary travel and the carbon footprint.
The event was moderated by Juan Manuel Alameda Villamayor, Head of Irrigation Services, and attended by technicians from the Irrigation Communities, administrators, companies, and other professionals linked to the irrigation sector and technology applied to agriculture.
Datakorum‘s participation in these conferences underscores its commitment to improving water management through the use of advanced technology.
