Datakorum and Sateliot join forces to extend 5G IoT coverage beyond terrestrial limits

Datakorum, a leading provider of end-to-end IoT solutions for critical infrastructure, and Sateliot, the first 5G NB-IoT satellite constellation, have established a strategic partnership to deliver continuous, high-reliability connectivity for smart metering and industrial assets in remote areas of the United Arab Emirates.

This collaboration combines Datakorum’s proven experience in large-scale NB-IoT and LTE-M deployments with Sateliot’s non-terrestrial 5G network, ensuring seamless data transmission even in the most challenging environments. The joint initiative represents a significant milestone in bridging terrestrial and satellite IoT networks to achieve true global coverage.

As a first step, both companies have launched a Proof of Concept (PoC) to validate the interoperability of 3GPP-compliant NB-IoT devices across terrestrial and non-terrestrial domains. This integration will enable continuous monitoring of critical infrastructures such as water, energy, and oil & gas pipelines, where connectivity gaps have traditionally limited data-driven operations.
